Following the success of the first bilingual Managing Aging Plants Conference & Expo held in Tokyo in 2016, a second conference & expo will be held in Tokyo on June 7 & 8 2018. As in 2016 the conference will be presented in Japanese and English simultaneously. A large majority of the lectures will be given by invited speakers who are authorities in their particular field. They will address Managing Aging Plants from the perspectives of operators working in Japan, Europe and America.
Mr Masao Nakahara (Asahi Kasei Corp.), steering committee member for MAP Japan 2016 and again for MAP Japan 2018, spoke to us briefly after the recent MAP Europe event promising highly focused topics for the upcoming 2018 event.
There will be workshops on aging phenomenon and its interaction; monitoring, inspection, and testing; as well as the latest trends in the Internet of Things and Smart Plants; and the latest maintenance technologies such as welding, Thermal Spray, and Fitness of Service. Additionally, there will be a workshop where leading industrial experts put forward interesting practical case studies. Click here to see actual conference timetable.
Mr Henk Akkermans (World Class Maintenance) praises MAP Japan 2016 and is looking forward to learn from the Japanese and share European knowledge again at MAP Japan 2018.
This two-day conference has been developed to be of special interest to technical staff and managers in production, consulting, and engineering companies; suppliers and manufacturers; maintenance and inspection service organizations; and executive decision-makers within these companies/bodies.
Mr Jae-Woong Kim (SK Energy, Korea.), will contribute in formulating the comprehensive conference programme for MAP Japan 2018. As a new steering committee member he urges us not to miss it.
